The Calendar Question

The Orthodox anti-ecumenists maintain the traditional Church Calendar free from any innovation, since the calendar change of 1924 was the first practical step in the heresy of ecumenism.
The calendar question became ecclesiological in nature to the extent that the ecumenists aimed at reforming the Festal Calendar handed down by the Fathers (see the Patriarchal Encyclical of 1920 and the “Pan-Orthodox Congress” of 1923), in order to concelebrate with the heretics of the West.
In this way, however, in the name of syncretistic rapprochement and communion with heretics, they sundered the festal unity of the Orthodox.
